Description

Excavation for irrigation reservoir on Bucher property, west of Hwy 89, that collected of water out of Bair Canyon to irrigation lower orchard. Approximate location is hill above now Green Road and Country Road intersection.

Context

Farmers in Kaysville and Fruit Heights would dig reservoirs to capture water which couldn't be used during a watering turn. The entire orchard could not be irrigated during one turn so reservoirs allowed for the lower fields and orchards to receive a fair share.
