I like it because she has courage to see the world. Ariel lives in the sea and her friends are the fish . She puts her hand on the top of a boat and looks in. She sees Prince Eric having a party. I like it because her fairy Godmother comes and changes her into being beautiful. I like it because it's really crazy when the cheetah got banged into the elephant and the elephant broke kangaroo's trampoline. My favourite story is The Gruffalo. I like it because the Gruffalo is afraid of the mouse. The mouse thought the Gruffalo was going to get him but he shows him all of his friends and then the mouse said My favourite food is Gruffalo crumble and the Gruffalo ran away. My favourite story is The Little Mermaid. I like it when she gets married. She goes on a boat with her baby because the shark comes. She lives happily ever after with the prince. My favourite story is The rainbow Fairies. I like it because Jack Frost turns the fairies into ice. My favourite fairy is Goldie the sunshine fairy. She is hot and melts al I the other fairies and saves them. My favourite story is Rapunzel. I like it when Rapunzel makes a dress and her hair grows longer and the prince climbs up her hair to the tower and says "I love you" . He invites her to the birthday party and they live happily ti My favourite story is The Little Red Hen. I like it because there are lots of animals in the story. The ending is good because the little red hen ate the bread all by herself be cause the other animals didn't help her to make it. My favourite story is Sleeping Beauty. I like it because I like the witch. The witch puts Prince Charming into jail and the fairies come and get him out. The fairies give him a sword and a shield and he goes to get Sleeping Beauty. He kisses her and she wakes up. My favourite story is Hairy McClairy. I like it because the dogs are supposed to chase the cats but the cat always scares the dogs away. I like Hairy McClairy best because he invited his friends to play. My favourite story is Mickey T U .S \ \ ~ c. f-\ e \J 0\ J Mouse. I like it because he goes to Disney Land with Minnie by driving a boat. My favourite story is Going to the Zoopermarket. I like it because there are all kinds of made-up animals. I really like the hedgehog best because he is made out of prickled onions! My favourite story is Jack and the Beanstalk. I like it because I like it when the Giant is coming home and says Fe Fi Fo Fum. Jack hides and runs home with the money. At the end of the story Jack gets an axe and chops the beanstalk down, the Giant falls down dead. My favourite story is Noddy. I like it because he makes a rocket out of a bin, cones and triangles. Then he goes into space to get a star for Martha monkey. My favourite story is Rapunzel. I like it because she has really long hair and the young man can climb up to rescue her. My favourite story is Rapunzel. I like it because she lives in a big princess tower. She has very long hair and her Prince comes and rescues Rapunzel and they live happily ever after. , My favourite story is Harry and the Dinosaur. I like it because Harry got a little terradactyl for Christmas. My favourite story is Snow White. I like it because I like the seven dwarves and Snow White. The seven dwarves help Snow White when she is scared of the bad Queen. At the end they al I dance because they are happy. My favourite story is The Gruffalo. I like it because the mouse shows the Gruffalo all the animals because it is not scared. I like the Gruffalo's knees because they're brown and so hairy. My favourite story is about dinosaurs. I like it because the dinosaurs can speak. My favourite is the triceratops because he is nice to the other dinosaurs. L i p too My favourite story is Jack and the Beanstalk. By Alastair H· 1rsch I wonder what is down there in the sea. All sorts of things ever so deadly. Giant squid, dinosaurs still living, treasure from pirates and even more mysterious things. Twinkling caves 6,000,000 years old. Who knows what is down there, that has never been told , Something horrid, something fierce, and something that is hungry. By Sophia Christopoulos On the beach one day I started to sleep. I couldn't sleep because the giant white horses were too noisy. So I went into the sea. It was so relaxing in the deep blue sea I didn't get out. Suddenly, I realised that the strong currents were pulling me down. I saw the huge sharks smashing into sea caves, octopuses banging and crashing into walls . I have never seen such a deadly place. Giant squids , giant whales , about as big as Kellett School. A few min utes later a stern looking t iger, who the parrot had never met before, appeared from nowhere. He looked at the parrot and asked him to f ly down and trade the parrot's meat fo r some seeds. The parrot obeyed the t iger even though he was a stranger and flew down. "Come with me to my house and I ' ll get you the seeds", the t iger said. Soon they had started moving towards the tiger's home. When they arrived the t i ge,r gave the parrot his seeds and put the parrot in a box. Tiger said he was go ing to fatten parrot up to eat "Ah ," screamed the parrot. "Help! I should not have trusted him". In the future I will remember the moral, Do not trust strangers . By Miranda Robson The Four Moose and the Twenty Kangaroos Once there were twenty kangaroos who were relaxing and eating quietly in their own grassy area. They were in peace until suddenly four moose attacked them with their horns because they were hungry to eat some of the kangaroo's grass. The kangaroos jumped all the way home very angrily. In their home they planned how to attack the moose to get them away. Two weeks later , the moose again ate the grass in the kanga roo's area. The kangaroos attacked the moose. The moose were scared and ran as fast as they could back to their home. i , When they arrived home they were very ashamed of them- j j selves because they realized that they had invaded the kan - j j garoo's eating area. Ellie saw Croc getting chased by th is other crocodile. She got a big tree trunk and put it in the water after Croc had gone past. The other crocod ile got trapped. In that way Ellie saved Croc. I 'll leave you alone if you get up and play" promised the possum. So the koala got up and played with the possum. The next day the possum got up and was about to wake up the koala when he remembered the promise he had made to koala. He left the koala alone. The moral of this story is if you do what someone asks they will probably do what you ask, as one good turn deserves another. King Netres and the Rebellion King Netres was an old , weak but brave king. He ruled the land of Mithrel. His son, Prince Gantil was handsome, but very boastful. Father and son ruled happily to gether. When trouble brewed, Prince Gantil led Mithrel's armies to destroy the enemy. The prince was away on such a trip when news came that King Naztil , brother of King Netres, was jealous of his brother's kingdom and was preparing an army to take his brother's lands for himself. Terrified, the citizens of Mithrel ran to their king pleading for help. The king was panicking and said "But Prince Gantil is still away with the army. By the time he reaches the castle it will be too late. Mithrel will be taken by my treacherous brother." King Netres retired to his chambers to try to conjure up a plan to stop King Gantil. Finally he sent a messenger to the camp to give the message to the . Prince. The Prince replied at once boasting he would stop the evil king. The Prince and his men reached the kingdom with only minutes to spare to see King Naztil's army bearing down on them. They opened the gate, and the fight began. The battle was quick and clean. King Naztil was captured and Mithrel rejoiced . King Netres sent out a search party to look for the Prince, who was missing in ac tion. Somehow the Prince was alive and without a dent to his armour, no blood on his sword and not a single scratch on his shield. For some strange reason, his head was bowed and sad. "But my son!" cried King Netres, seeing his son's sunken face. "We won! Our losses were high but we still won! Why do you look so modest? Come have a drink. You must be tired after battle like that!" "NO FATHER! LISTEN! I DID NOT FIGHT! I'm too much of a coward. Now you know." The Prince bowed his head and went to his tent . A few minutes later the King entered his son's tent. "My son," King Netres said. "There are many types of bravery and cowardice. The bravest of brave is how a King is loyal to his people. The cowards are the ones who shrivel away from the truth. You my son have shown the most bravery that I have seen in my whole life. You stood up like a man and you faced the consequence of the truth. You are now among the most finest of men. Come my son." The King lead his son outside. "My soldiers, peasants and Nobles. Lend me your ears! I give you a man worthy of God. I also give you your new king ," the King said. There was a great intake of breath as King Netres turned to his son, drew is sword and said, "Kneel, Prince Gantil of Mithrel and arise King Gantil of Mithrel." There was a , storm of approval. They brought their · dogs and there were a few greyhounds. It was a very wet day. The dogs were numbered and they raced. Greyhound One was winning, Greyhound Two was next and Greyhound Six was third. The track was slippery. Greyhound One, Two and Six slipped and fell losing the race. None of the other greyhounds finished the race. After the race Greyhound One asked a wise Labrador if he wanted a race because he wanted to win against someone. The Labrador said , "No way do I want to look as silly as you all did." I opened the dull brown door. I hated doing this. He was a person with black hair. He was quite fat but most weird of all he had a silly name on his name tag. Michael is a criminal who has just murdered Fred Watson, he has a Porsche 911 GT. Michael raced off the motorway to find an Enzo going round a roundabout. He went flying into the side of it at 140mph sending him through the windscreen and landing in the bushes. But it got worse. A small Mini Cooper was right behind the Enzo. It turned onto the roundabout and ran over Michael who had broken his leg when the Porsche and the Enzo came tumbling over him. He had just dragged himself out when he saw a mini coming at him. The mini then came back onto the road to find a bus waiting for him on the other side! quarters. Little do they know that ----------------------• there is a nasty surprise waiting for them ...... The Hi-Tech Car By Hugh Loiterton My detective is called Antonio. When he is puzzled he talks to his cat Raul (his assistant). In this part of the story Antonio with Raul is investigating the theft of a $30,000,000 car. As Antonio (with Raul by his side) walked down the street they saw a black car with tinted windows zoom by, at what seemed like 250mph. "That's the Prime Minister's car!" exclaimed Antonio. "Meow!!!!" shouted Raul. "Let's get to the Prime Minister's house," said Antonio. They got into the car and headed towards the Prime Minister's house. When they got there they saw the Prime Minister outside his house looking stunned. "Who was in your car?" asked Antonio. "I have no idea!" answered the Prime Minister. "Look!" shouted Antonio, "It's a piece of red curly hair!" "And a footprint!" said the Prime Minister. "The only person I know who has curly red hair is Fred Fudge" The Eye By Immy Bull My Detective is a man called Berry. He is quite serious. He has an assistant called Dr. Apple who is always oblivious to whatever is going on. In this scene they have just started to look for clues. The two crimes are the death of the head of house, Mr. Black, and the stolen ring from the crown jewels. All the servants had been told to take the day off and not to return till after eleven. We started in the kitchen looking for clues. We went all around the house. The little clues that were left were very vivid to Berry, but to me looked like junk. There was oil on the floor and everything was all some sort of message that linked together to a story. At the end of our seventh room I asked Berry "Are these clues any use to us?" Berry looked at me as if I was mad and placed his fingers to his lips as if to say "ssh ". We were eating lunch when the doorbell rang. "About time," he said turning around. "Hide and have your gun out and when I say go, jump out and fire at the ceiling." I was amazed at him. This was the end at last. The door creaked open and in came a .... "Now we need to think of the suspects" said Gordon.
