This is an affidavit dated Louisville, Ky , January 20, 1928 . Transcription is as follows, "Affidavit states that this book [1938.568a] (excerpts from a journal) is in the handwriting of her sister Maria R. Audubon and the facts contained therein are true to the best of her knowledge and belief." The affidavit is signed Harriet B. Audubon. Further transcription reads, "Subscribed and sworn to before me this 20th day of Jany. 1928. My commission expires Aug. 27, 1928. (signed) Louis Talbot, Notary Public Jeff. Co. Ky."
