This print is a New York Historical Society Oppenheimer Edition that is a facsimile of John James Audubon's "Black-Bellied Darters" painting which was used to create the print in The Birds of America. In this print, two Anhingas are looking to the right. The male is mostly black with white stripes and specs. He features the long curvy neck, sharp bill, webbed feet, and turkey-like tail feathers. The female is much lighter in appearance in the background.
