This colored engraving was done by Prideaux John Selby for his publication, "Illustrations of British Ornithology", published in Edinburgh between 1821 and 1833. The engraving details a Black-winged stilt with orange-reddish legs perched near the bank of a river. Two more stilts can be seen further down the river along with a mountain in the background. The bottom bears an inscription reading: "BLACK WINGED STILT." The upper-right reads: "PLATE XXXIX."Artwork Details
