This is an ink drawing of an 1827 stamp and the capital letter "A" on two separate pieces of paper. On the paper with the stamp is the inscription that reads: "a paper stamp on an old letter of 1827-". The stamp depicts a sitting woman who has a staff and cross-bearing shield at her left side while her right hand holds a flower. The paper which bears the capital letter "A" looks as though it was cut out from another piece of paper.Collection
