This colored lithograph was done by J. Wolf for Henry Dresser's 1871-1881 London publication, "History of the Birds of Europe". The lithograph details a pair of grey Lapp-Owls sitting on the branches of a pine tree. One owl faces right with its face looking at the viewer while the other owl faces left. At the bottom of the image is an inscription reading: "LAPP-OWL. / SYRNIUM LAPPONICUM" The top-left corner reads "308". The bottom-left reads "J. Wolf del. / W. Hart. lith."Artwork Details
