This is a handwritten letter from Minnie Speary informing Delia Audubon Tyler that has been accepted as a member of the Mary Clap Wooster Chapter of the D. A. R. Transcription is as follows: "My Dear Mrs. Tyler, You undoubtedly are in receipt of Mrs. Jenkins note -(letting) of the action of the Mary Cap Wooster Chapter D. A. R. In placing your name on the roll of membership of the National Mary Washington association as an expression of their affection for you, and their appreciation of your unceasing devotion to the interests of the Chapter since its organization. The pen, which accompanies this, has just been received from Caldwell & Co. and it gives me great pleasure My dear Mrs. Tyler, to commit it, as directed to your keeping and possession. Please wear it Tuesday afternoon, Affec. Yours, Minnie N. Sperry Monday Oct. the twelfth."
