This is an antique white china plate with a raised floral pattern, slight scalloped edges, and color transfer image of John James Audubon's plate 114, the "White Crowned Sparrow." Two stamps mark the back of the plate. One stamp reads: "Plate #114 / Zonotrichia Leucophrys / Reproduced / from the Elephant / Folio Edition of Audubon's / Birds of / America / Endorsed / by National Audubon Society / White Crowned Sparrow." The manufacturer's stamp reads: "Alfred Meakin / England."
