Description

This watercolor painting was completed by Florence Audubon in 1883. The painting details three pink-headed clover plants in the upper-half of the page along with a brown-headed clover plant in the bottom-half. A poem about the four leaved clover starts at the top and ends at the bottom. The poem reads as follows: "I've travelled east / Ive travelled west / I've sailed / wide Seas over, / But never knew what wish was best / Till I found the four leaved clover. / One leaf for fame and one for wealth / And one that brought me glowing health / Were in that four leaved clover. / Were in that / four-leaved clover."
