Description

This colored lithograph was done by Prideaux John Selby for his publication, "Illustrations of British Ornithology", published in Edinburgh between 1821 and 1833. The engraving details a female Goosander swimming by some rocks in the foreground with a fish in its beak. The bottom bears an inscription reading: "GOOSEANDER, FEMALE." The upper-right reads: "PLATE LVII."
