This is one of two pairs of broken gold wire spectacles (1938.741.1 and 1938.741.2) that are associated with a leather case (1938.741.3). This pair has broken into two pieces at the nose piece. The printed inscription on the case reads: "A. P. Erker & Bros., Opticians 617 Olive Street St. Louis." All of these items are stored in a green box (1938.741.4ab) with a tag on the lid and bottom that reads: "Alice Jaynes Tyler, 34 Edgehill Road, New Haven, Conn."Collection
