This is a stereograph or stereocard of an albumen print mounted on cardstock/cardboard. The two images depict a man standing on top of a wooden structure with his hands on a crank that is part of the mechanism to bring up something via rope. Three men are behind him to the right. The faded yellow mount identifies "McLeish and Cressey" as the photographers from St. Paul at the left edge of the mount. The print at the right edge reads: "Lake Superior Views, North Shore." Writing on the back identifies the scene: "Silver Islet Mines, Main shaft."Collection
