This is the third volume of four in John James Audubon's double-elephant folio The Birds of America (1827-1838). The first three volumes are composed of 100 prints each while the fourth volume is composed of 135 prints totaling 435 prints across a complete set. The third volume was published 1834-1835. The original subscriber was Thomas Walker of Killingbeck Hall near Leeds, England making this set one of the earlier copies since Leeds was one of the first cities that Audubon sold subscriptions in.
