This book is volume of II (two) of the Octavo edition of "The Birds of America, from Drawings Made in the United States and Their Territories" by John James Audubon. This volume is one in the original seven volume set. It is a first edition copy printed by E. G. Dorsey, Library Street, Philadelphia, and published in Philadelphia by J. B. Chevalier and New-York. The book is leather bound with dark brown covers and spine embossed with gold filigree imagery. Print on the spine reads, "Birds of America / Audubon / II." In this book are hand colored lithographs and biographical information about the birds in those lithographs. Silk bookmark ribbon intact. Pages are gold tinted.
