Postcard depicting a memorial. The caption reads, ‘Grant’s Tomb, New York City’. The message on the front reads, ‘Dear Carrie, your letter and little package with veil received tonight. Many thanks. I will leave for L.R. in the morning. A crowd of us went fishing tonight down to snake creek, and I feel so tired, I won’t be able to write tonight. Will write when I get up to L.R. I am sorry you were feeling sick. Naomi came up yesterday and she will go up to see Lillian W. tomorrow on the mail boat with me. I feel so tired I don’t know what to do. Mrs. Ida is much better. Will send cards from L.R. Love to all, Lillian, January 22, 1907 (my last night here).’ The message on the verso reads, ‘From L.A. Watson, Plantation Key, Planter P.6, Florida, care of J.W.
