Description

Faded gold Navy epaulet with golden spiral tassels. The end facing away from the neck of the wearer has an anchor with rope while the opposite end has a button bearing an eagle holding an anchor. The underside of the epaulet has a metal base and long metal stem to affix the epaulet to the uniform. The epaulet was worn by a U.S. Naval officer during the Spanish-American War.
