Notation on verso, 'Sloppy Joe's Bar...This nationally renowned landmark has been located on the corner of Greene and Duval Streets in Old Town Key West for over 45 years. Ernest Hemingway and Josie 'Sloppy Joe' Russell spent numerous hours in the bar doing 'research' for some of 'Papas' most famous novels. Russell, the original owner of Sloppy Joe's, was immortalized as the protagonist Harry Morgan in Hemingway's classic, To Have and Have Not.'
