Description

Black and white photograph of a small child under an umbrella sponge. The former press photo has a caption on the verso, 'Umbrella Sponge. Here's the largest sponge ever taken out of the famous marine grounds at Key West, Fla. Ralph Thompson is shown holding it over his head with several other varieties of sponges about him. The big sponge might make a good umbrella when one starts out on a rainy afternoon but after a half hour's walk the going might be wet and heavy.'
