Postcard depicting a large cathedral.  The caption reads, ‘Habana, La Catedral.  The Cathedral.’  The description on the verso reads, ‘Columbus Cathedral, as it is commonly called, was built in 1724 by the Jesuit Fathers.  The remains of Christopher Columbus reposed here in a beautiful mausoleum of sculptured marble until 1898 when the Spaniards took them back to Seville.’Subject Place
