Description

Pencil sketch on an unfolded paper bag by Mario Sanchez a typical Key West street scene on Duval Street. Businesses include Pedro's Shoe Shine Parlor, Mato's Fritter House, and Italian Style Tutti Frutti ice cream cart. There is also a large billboard advertisement for Trevor & Morris Ford dealership. A note in Sanchez's handwriting reads, 'Mato's Fritter House was on Duval St., where Antonia's Restaurant is now, and where with a large hamburger, 5 bollos (a penny each) and a bottle of soda anyone would fill up the belly for only twenty cents.'
