Postcard depicting the First National Bank and the Jefferson Hotel at the corner of Duval and Front streets. The caption reads, 'Key West Fla. Hotel Jefferson and First National Bank.' Notation on verso, 'The Hotel Jefferson, on Duval Street, was completed in 1888, at a cost, including site, of about $35,000. During the Spanish-American War it entertained many prominent naval officers, including Schley, Sampson and Hobson. The First National Bank occupies a handsome building at the corner of Duval and Front Streets, which was completed July, 1897, and with the lot, cost about $27,000.'Subject Place
