Postcard depicting women in period clothes near a walled garden.  The description on the verso reads, ‘Old Spanish Walled Garden.  Between the Waterfront Playhouse and the Community Auditorium in Key West, Florida, lies the Old Spanish Walled Garden with its brilliant tropical foliage of crotons, palm trees and royal Poinciana.  It is a quiet spot to meditate in the sunshine or shade.  Local belles are shown attired in authentic Old Key West dress of the 1800’s.  The Garden is in Old Mallory Square, an area of community restored buildings.'  The message on the verso reads, ‘Dear Miss White, Next time you’re down this way please drop off 12 H.S.W. books.  Thank you, Bob Dodd’.  The card is addressed to Miss L. V. White, East Martello Tower, Roosevelt Boulevard, Key West, Florida, and is postmarked Key West, May 15, 1967.Collection
