Postcard depicting a large building and statue near palm trees. The caption reads, ‘Papacio del Gobterno General, Habana.’ The message written on the front of the card reads, ‘Plantation Key, September 21, 1906, Dear Jack: Your card received many thanks. My school is O.K. and so am I. I am having a nice time here. We go in bathing quite often and I certainly enjoy it; don’t you wish you were here to take a plunge with us? I am going to learn to swim before long. I Hope you and Carrie are O.K. Say why don’t you get fat like me. I almost broke the scales when I weighed last, just think 106. Now you know that’s a heavy weight. I would love to see you both. It seems like a year since we saw you. Lill.’ The address on the verso reads. ‘From L.A. Watson, Plantation Key, Planter P.6, Florida. c/o J. W. Pinder; to Mr. John W. Hattrick, 2012 Latona Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.’ Postmarked Planter, Florida, September 22, 1906 and Philadelphia September 25, 1906.Collection
