Two black U.S. Navy Signal Record Books that have been attached to each other. They log all "signals of an official nature and all official megaphone or word of mouth messages." The record books are "furnished by the Bureau of Navigation to all vessels in commission." These particular record books kept log of signals made to and from the USS KEARSARGE between July 10, 1908 and November 13, 1908. The KEARSARGE was commissioned in February 1900 and became part of the Great White Fleet.Collection
