Description

Wooden bowling pin that formerly belonged to the alley inside the Curry & Sons Building on the 600 block of Front Street. The Curry family ran a general store and also operated as a ship’s chandlery. The beautiful double-turreted building caught on fire in 1963, burning it to the ground. Damage to the bowling pin sustained during the fire can be seen; note the charring marks.
