Postcard depicting a lighthouse with black and white swirled markings. The caption reads, ‘Cape Hatteras Towers Over The Atlantic.’ The description on the verso reads, ‘Since 1870, Cape Hatteras has faithfully shone her guiding light over the area where the Labrador and Gulf Stream currents meet, guiding ships to safety through the “graveyard” of the Atlantic. She beacons to sailors from a towering 208 feet, and has the distinction of being the tallest lighthouse in America.’
