Postcard depicting a road over water for cars and trolleys. The caption reads, ‘The Causeway, Miami, Florida.’ The description on the verso reads, ‘The Causeway between Miami and Miami Beach is 3 ½ miles long and 105 feet wide. For 2,000 feet at either end the Causeway is a viaduct, permitting the free flow of the tides. The remainder is a solid fill of rock, affording a trolley trackway and two double driveways for motor vehicles.’Subject Place
