Black and white photograph of the Florida East Coast Railway train blown off the tracks by the Labor Day Hurricane near Islamorada.  Caption on verso, 'Upper Matecumbe Key after the hurricane that struck on Labor Day, 1935.  This view is looking northeast over the railroad tracks, and shows the wreckage of the train sent to rescue the veterans.  To the right of the 2nd & 3rd cares from the top are the remains of the train station at Islamorada.  Wilbur Jones of Tallahassee, FL and other men were trapped in the boxcars laying under the 4th & 5th cars of the rescue train.  Note locomotive at bottom.'Photograph Details
