Postcard depicting the anchor from the U.S.S. MAINE. The caption reads, ‘Anchor of the Battleship Maine, Spanish War Section, Arlington Cemetery, Va.’ The description on the verso reads, ‘In the Arlington National Cemetery the anchor of the “Maine” blown up in Havana Harbor, February 16, 1898, marks the grave of 163 of the crew who were killed in the explosion. The anchor is flanked by two Spanish mortars.‘
