Postcard with a watercolor illustration of the Little White House Quarters 'A' circa 1900-1918. The building was originally constructed as Navy Commandants Quarters in 1890. The original painting was completed by David Harrison Wright in 1986.  Notation on verso, 'Little White House' Water Color by Capt. David Harrison Wright.  Constructed in 1890 for Navy Commandants Quarters at a cost of $7,489.00.  The use of the house by President Harry S Truman beginning in 1946 gave it the current name...Truman's visits & routine of long walks, swims, long naps, poker games, meals with visitors & visits into town are documented.
