Constructed in 1890 for Navy Commandants Quarters at a cost of $7,489.00. The use of the house by President Harry S Truman beginning in 1946 gave it the current name...Truman's visits & routine of long walks, swims, long naps, poker games, meals with visitors & visits into town are documented.
