Postcard depicting a steamship at sea. The caption reads, ‘P & O Steamer “Mascotte” Key West, Florida.’ The message on the verso reads, ‘Dear Dad, Have written to Tampa for the books so will write you about them as soon as they come. I am doing light house- keeping in two rooms now so you may know I am some busy. I like it lots better. I can have what I want now when I want it. Love to all. Pauline’. A note on the verso (in a different hand) reads, ‘Mascotte Miami & Olivette were 3 earliest (ships), Cuba, then Florida ran between Miami & Nassau, also Tampa, Key West & Havana’. The card is addressed to Mr. C. F. Harrington, 18 Huntington Avenue, “The Copley” Suite 31, Boston, Massachusetts, and is postmarked Key West, June 7, 1914.
