Postcard depicting a Key West sunrise at Smathers Beach on top and an aerial view of Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas on the bottom. Notation on verso, 'An aerial view of Fort Jefferson, a Civil War fort, once described as the Gibraltar of the Caribbean, is reached by boat and seaplane from Key West. This is the famous Shark Key of movie fame. It was here that Dr. Samuel Mudd, who treated the broken leg of John Wilkes Booth, was incarcerated. Booth was the assassin of President Abraham Lincoln. Mudd was later exonerated.'
