The caption reads, ‘P & O Twin Screw Passenger Steamship “Cuba”. 341 ft. long 47 ft. wide, speed 17 knots per hour, passenger capacity 520.’ The description on the verso reads, ‘This P & O is the shortest, most dependable and most popular route to and from Cuba. General Offices: Jacksonville, Florida.’ The message on the verso reads, ‘Dear Pauline, Had a lovely trip over except for the rain – rain – rain. Tell Eli to forward my mail to 410 E. Louisa Street & ask the P. O. to hold second class matter for us until September. Dad started on his long trip last night. Mother would love for you to have come over with me. You’ll have to do it sometime. Love Edna’. The card is addressed to Mrs. C.D. Harrington, 1213 White Street, Key West, Florida, and is postmarked Lakeland, Florida, June 4.
