Program for the USS KEY WEST Ship's Party, held at the Hotel Bradford in Boston, Massachusetts on July 17, 1945 while the ship was in dry dock.
A handwritten note from Guy E. Baker, a sailor aboard the KEY WEST, reads 'This party was held while PF-17 was in dry dock, Boston Navy Yard, South Boston. Everyone had liberty this night. Party was paid for by profits from the ship's stores. We had the Bradford hotel ball room and the Naval Yard band played for us. We spent about $1200.00 this night. Some of us were leaving ship.'Collection
