Scope and Content

Small program for Armed Forces Day in 1962. Naval Air Station Key Key West had an Open House with aircraft and ships available to view and tour. Throughout the day there were also demonstrations such as submarine diving, scrambling of attack aircraft, and the firing of a torpedo from the USS ATULE. Ships on display included the USS BUSHNELL, USS ATULE, USS SEA POACHER, USS SAUFLEY, and USS HARLAN D. CROW. Aircraft on display included the P2V-Neptune, S2F-Tracker, HSS-2 helicopter, F3H-Demon, F4H-Phantom, F9F-Cougar, and F4U-Skyray.
