Description

Postcard depicting the Bus Diner and Southernmost School of Beauty Culture on the corner of Southard and Bahama streets. The description on the verso reads, ‘From downtown Key West looking north-east along Southard Street one sees the southernmost beauty school in the United States. The tree with the white flowers on the right side of the photo is a frangipani tree which remains in bloom nearly all year. Key West, Florida is the only city in the United States where this tropical tree will live, as it can't grow where frost occurs.'
