Postcard belonging to 'The Houses of Key West' series depicting the John Lowe House located at 620 Southard Street. Notation on verso reads '11. THE JOHN LOWE HOUSE, c. 1860, was built of Honduras mahogany and heart pine using the old methods of wooden pegs and mortise-and-tenon joints for strength as well as "give" during tropical storms. It is completely surrounded by porches and is perhaps the finest example of a Bahama house on the island.'Subject Place
