Wood carving by Mario Sanchez depicting Abelardo Boza and his comparsa dancers parading down the 600 block of Duval Street. Comparsa dancers pass Frank Johnson Jeweler, Estevez Photo Studio and a cigar manufacturer. 'Abelardo Boza y Su Comparsa' carved into center cloud. Created from two pieces of wood strapped together with smaller wood supports on verso.
Caption written by Sanchez reads, 'Al Boza's Comparsa (Conga Line dancers) on Duval Street. Some of the houses in the background are still standing. The 1910 tin covered front house to the left is where Dewey Riggs cigar store and Hugo Diamandi's Goodyear shoe repair shop was in the 1940s. The two stories white house in the center is still there. The gray building was Estevez Photo Studio. There is a narrow empty lot there now. And the yellow house to the far right was where Frank Johnson's Jewelry Store was. There is a new building in its place where Appelrouth Shoe Store is.'
