Written on the verso by the artist, 'During the 1940s the black folks of Key West were hard working people that enjoyed and demanded top entertainment on week-ends. The orchestras of Willis Jackson, Jay McShann, Tiny Bradshaw, Lucky Millender, King Kolax & others came into town, regularly, to play one-nighters at the Blacks' nightspots. The biggest name band to ever play in Key West was the big Louis Armstrong Orchestra that played at Oscar Milian's Imperial Cafe located just off Amelia St. on Whitehead St.'Type of Sculpture
