Description

Wood carving by Mario Sanchez depicting Navarro's Sightseeing car driving down the street. There are passengers in the vehicle and his dog Teddy is riding on the roof. They are driving past Pena's Garden of Roses on the 500 block of Thomas Street. Caption in the file reads, 'Ramon Navarro was the official tour guide for Key West and his dog typically would perch on top of the bus for the ride through town. The Cuban nightspot, Pena's Garden of Roses, was a popular dance hall which was taken over by the Navy during the war. Notice the clouds in the shape of bottles'.
