Description

Faded gold Navy epaulet with golden spiral tassels. The end facing away from the neck of the wearer has an anchor with rope while the opposite end has a button bearing an eagle holding an anchor. The underside of the epaulet has a metal base and long metal stem to affix the epaulet to the wearer's uniform. The epaulet was worn by a Naval officer during the Spanish American War.
