Postcard depicting the USS MAINE monument in Key West cemetery. The caption reads, ‘Maine Monument erected in honor of the sailors sunk in Havana Harbor, Key West, Florida’. The description on the verso reads, 'The Maine Monument in the Key West City Cemetery. Here and in Arlington are buried the victims of the sinking of the U.S. Battleship "Maine" in Havana Harbor on February 15, 1898. The flag pole is part of the mast taken from the "Maine". Here repose bodies recovered from the sunken wreck.'
