Framed print of a hand tinted drawing of a docked Naval ship with text below that reads 'THE HELENA COALING AT THE GOVERNMENT DOCK, KEY WEST. - SHOWING BOATS SENT IN FROM THE BATTLE-SHIPS WHEN THEY WERE STRIPPED FOR ACTIVE SERVICE.' The work was drawn by Carlton Chapman and used by 'Harper's Pictorial History of the War with Spain.' The USS HELENA (Gunboat #9), a Wilmington-class gunboat, was commissioned on July 8, 1897.
