Looking west in an aerial view, the new and old Seven Mile Bridges bisect the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. The old Seven Mile bridge was built over the Overseas Railroad Bridge. In the middle is tiny Pigeon Key, now a marine laboratory of the University of Miami. The old highway bridge was converted in 1937, and the new bridge was completed and dedicated in 1982.'Collection
