Postcard of the Audubon House as seen from corner of Greene and Whitehead streets. Caption on verso reads, 'This beautiful old waterfront home was built by Sea Captain John Geiger. John James Audubon, famous naturalist painter, resided here as a guest and is reputed to have painted the Great White Crowned Pigeon in the Geiger Tree on the grounds. The home has been restored and is now open to the public. The Elephant Folio of Audubon's Birds of America series is on exhibit here as well as imported antique furniture from England.'
