Description

Hand-carved wooden crossbow stock used by Indigenous hill tribe communities in the jungles of South Vietnam for hunting and, in some cases, self-defense or local armed conflict. The crossbow stock reflects traditional woodworking techniques and the practical equipment employed in the region during the Vietnam War era. The crossbow, along with the quiver and arrows, was presented to Lieutenant General R. P. Klocko, USAF (Ret.), during a visit to the Republic of Vietnam in 1970.
