Description

Pencil sketch on an unfolded paper bag by Mario Sanchez depicting Dr. Fraga's Drug Store and Turkish Baths on the corner of Duval and Virginia streets. On the verso is a narrative written by Sanchez, 'Dr. Fragas drugstore was on the corner of Duval & Virginia Sts. Now the location of El Kiosko Gallery. The venerable doctor was respected by the community and much appreciated for his discovery of remedy for intestinal worms - Dr. Fragas Cuban Vermifuge. Adjacent to the drug store was Dr. Fragas Turkish Baths. Cigar makers, T Ball players and others bathed there for 30 cents a week.'
