The caption reads, ‘Key West, Florida, Custom House and Post Office and U.S. Naval Depot.’ The description on the verso reads, 'Custom House and Post Office and U.S. Naval Depot. These buildings are located at the corner of Front and Green Streets, overlooking the harbor. Nearby is a small triangular park known as Monument Square. The Custom House and Post Office occupy one building which was completed in 1891; it is of red brick with stone terra cotta trimmings, and the cost of construction, together with the sea-wall was $107,955.'Subject Place
