The message on the verso reads, ‘Key West, September 11, 1911, Dear Nell, Your letter came today. I am glad Mother is feeling better. Tell her I am well and teaching 40 boys. Did you get the cards I wrote on the boat? We mailed them as soon as we reached Key West. Gene met me in New York and gave me a fine basket of fruit. Write every Tuesday and I will answer every Saturday for awhile. Love to all, Sr. J. A.’.
